How Technology is affecting our Mental Health !

This is no secret that there are a lot of mental effects of using our Smartphones & Computers, Various researches proves that there are negative effects of using technology, However the important part is to understand How?



It turn out to be the matter of time, Only if people are using it for certain time and then staying active in the real life. The negative effects will be none, But that,s not the case most of the time.


This is not us, it is the way most of these service designed, especially the Social Media apps where the user interface is designed to make you spend as much time as you can. Because obviously they got to earn money by showing you ads, Now the companies are winning along with some creators while other people like struggling creators and users who are not finding any social connection but only getting mental stress most of the time.


Yes its true, when a person spends a good amount of time on social media it is not because they are having a social connection with someone, Instead they are just looking at random people doing things. Now things we see there might not be true but our brain take it as truth. And once that happens users start to compare their life with those stories and guess what all it brings is just anxiety to the table, There is a whole another digital world gets created in our brains which is no way similar to the one we live in.





Another negative effect it makes to our mental health is psychosis, which happens when the usage is extreme. because of our lifestyle after COVID-19 pandemic we tend to spend a lot more time on our gadgets that we used to, Social interaction became all time low because of Schools & Colleges getting closed and work from home culture, Therefore we are spending more time on our gadgets than interacting with people in real life. And if this continues one can easily get to a point where real human interaction can make you anxious and can cause a lot of mental health issues.


Therefore the conclusion is that we should limit using our favourite devices as less as we can and stay more connected to things and people around us. Don,t let the false digital world run us and enjoy the real beauty if things around.
